We utilize a messaging application (and other technology) to accomplish the following :
1. Twice daily (morning/night) text check-in’s affirming our discipleship and “yes” to follow the Messiah. This also acts as a reminder to bookend our days in prayer. If there was a stumble into sexual immorality between the last check in, then the check in is a “no” and is immediately followed by an audio confession.
2. There is a weekly gospel-centered resource that we all study for the week. This is to [re]establish study as part of our discipleship and to help immerse ourselves in the Gospel/Apostle’s teaching/the instruction of God.
3. We participate in an audio thread that is utilized for ongoing edification - prayer, prayer request, study revelations, etc. Here we learn to encourage and build one another up in The Faith.
4. We record a weekly audio check in on Friday/Saturday that recounts the successes and challenges of our week. This serves as a way for us to be aware of our heart and embrace holiness despite our circumstances. Also, this is critical to learning how to live transparently before one another and God.
5. We gather together weekly (currently on Sunday nights from 7:00-9:00pm CST) via video conference to pray with and for one another, to exhort and encourage one another, and to discuss the weekly resource. Each person learns to exercise and mature in the grace God has given to them.
In addition to the above, each person individually has direct access with other leaders on a private thread for personal discipleship. The personal discipleship includes (but is not limited to) help in examining our lives and schedules, identifying any difficult areas of repentance, working out theological strongholds, personal prayer, and admonition.
All the above works together to accomplish the goal of walking out repentance in transparency and in the fear of the God of Israel, to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, and to function as fruitful disciples wherever the Lord directs our steps.
However, before entrance to the larger AAG group, we begin connecting personally to ensure that an individual is committed and ready for a consecrated season.
